2cBrown sugar
1cMilk
1/4cButter
1cCoconut
1/2cBrizil nuts
1lbDates, chopped

Butter sides of saucepan. Mix together sugar, milk and butter; bring to a boil, cooking to soft ball stage (234 degrees on candy thermometer). Add dates and stir until mixture pulls away from sides of pan. Remove from heat and add nuts and coconut. Mix. Roll into long roll. Wrap in a damp towel and roll again to desired diameter or about 1 1/2". Cool until hardened, then slice in thin slices, or may be rolled into balls if preferred.
